Now, in the wake of Obama’s victory, atheists are setting their sights on a popular American tradition — the inclusion of the Almighty in the official presidential oath. The Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF), an atheist activist non-profit, sent a letter to Obama on Friday, urging the president to remove “God” from the proclamation.

“I write to respectfully ask you to re-examine the use of religion as a political tool in your second term as president,” wrote Andrew L. Seidel, an attorney with the group.

Well they tried their best @ the DNC see what happened here.

There is no provision for freedom from religion in our constitution or anywhere else. But Obama and the Democrats want to move this country as far away from what out founding fathers intended as possible. There is freedom from religion in a communist state.

Right Vic. I said in another post that our Constitution guarantees freedom OF religion. Check out in your history books, people, if you can remember, that our country was founded by religious people who wanted to worship as they felt led by God, not to a designated church by the state. They wanted all people to have this choice.
