HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -
A Harrisburg man chasing a woman during a robbery was hospitalized after he suddenly darted into traffic and was struck by a car driven by her husband, according to police.

Jelani Finley, 23, of the 1100 block of Bailey Street, faces robbery and firearms charges and is being watched by officers until he is released from Penn State Hershey Medical Center, city police said Monday.

Police said Finley had confronted the Allison Hill couple Friday night as they were getting into their car in the 1200 block of Walnut Street.

He yelled a derogatory name and announced, "I own this block," then indicated he had a gun in his pocket and grabbed the man by the coat before taking cash from him, police said.

Finley then chased after the woman as she ran, screaming that he would come into her home after her, police said. Her husband got into his car and sped after his wife and Finley, police said.

Finley was struck when he darted out between parked cars in the first block of Balm Street. He appeared to have a head injury and wasn't able to stand when officers arrived at the scene, police said.

Neither victim was harmed and their money was recovered.

It's nice to see a "feel-good" story in the news for a change.

I agree, good for them! But I do fear for them when this jerk gets out. And you know he will.

Justice!

Maybe an enterprising judge should be issuing a 1 mile restraining order and shock collar GPS tracker to his royal majesty of the hill.

I understand Finley is up and walking, proclaiming "I own this hospital!"
