Why does Bo have to travel all over the country to push his imagration plan. Why can't he do it from the white house. They have phones. Save a lot of tax payers money.

Because we don't have a spending problem. Obama said so.

"President Barack Obama will fly over 9 hours tomorrow, round-trip from Washington, D.C. to Las Vegas, Nevada, just to deliver a speech on immigration, according to the president’s White House schedule. With Air Force One estimated to cost $182,000 per hour in flight, Obama’s trip–that is, only his travel to and from Vegas–will cost taxpayers over $1.6 million.

Obama has no other public events scheduled in Las Vegas but his immigration speech. "

The so-called "carbon footprint" part of their global warming scam is only for you and me.

~~WHY DO YOU POST SUCH STUPID ANSWERS?? SO what if it costs less tha a penny ea. He running it on our credit card. we are heading towards 17 trillion in debt .look it up what we are paying a day in interest? If he spent time in DC doing his job instead of campaigning full time ,he thinks he's move star gotta have the smiling idiots in front of him,it's disgusting ,it really is. the only thing worse is fools that can't see it. ~~NATIONAL DEBT CHART FROM HELL

CHART: Interest On National Debt Vs. Defense Spending

Washington's Spending Insanity Must Be Stopped

We're borrowing money to pay interest on money we've already borrowed.

In a decade, federal spending to pay for the interest on America's debt will exceed total spending on the defense budget by $125 billion, or 20 percent, according to CBO.

In fact, the interest payments are likely to be even higher, since these assumptions are based on the historically low interest rates remaining the same, which is not likely over the course of the next decade.

"If interest rates rise just 1% point above baseline projections, the government would pay an additional $1 trillion in interest payments over ten years." The projections are based on President Obama's current budget plan. Overall, his budget would increase federal spending 58% - from a budget size of $3.6 trillion today to $5.9 trillion in 2022.

Fine Dancer. You can pay my penny too, as I value every cent I have. I want my money I pay in taxes spent responsibly, as, if you read this thread, this trip does not show anything but politics.

Which "each" would you be refering to? All 300 million or the "each" that actually pay taxes? Don't worry Dancer, your taxpayer pension is safe.

Even if half of us paid it still would be around a penny

Quite interesting how you want to spend "my" money. Spend your own as you wish. If you are that excited, pay what you want me to pay all by yourself.

So your saying if "all" of us paid, it would cost 50% less for everyone? What a concept!

What im saying is that either scenario is still a penny or less ..If you are worried about a penny you have real problems

I sincerely doubt that the amount of money the trip cost each taxpayer is the issue in contention.

I put all of my pennies in a jar and now have a large water bottle filled with pennies. I prefer to keep the pennies I earn. They tend to add up to dollars....lots of dollars........

I'm sorry, but in my opinion, the real problem in this Country is that type of attitude. Whether it is a penny each or not does not matter. What matters is the irresponsible spending of 1.6 million of our tax dollars. It was not a wise way to spend money.

That penny is now added to the approximately $53,400 that each person already owes. At some point people have to stop saying it is only a penny.

Are you familiar with the financial situation that Greece is in? Each person there only owes $39,400!

Dancer, what is the rational justification for this trip?

Well, by this type of reasoning, you are saying that if we had zero debt, this would have been a bad expenditure. But, as long as we already owes so much it really doesn't matter. This is what we have come to?????? We're doomed.

BTW, my calculator does not have that many zeros. That must be a really big number.

No matter how little it cost each taxpayer. He should stay at the White House. He uses these little trips for mini vacation. If they saved all the pennys they could feed some of the veteran that are struggling. Last I checked the White House had phone and he also has a cell.

Dancer, Pennies add up for a person battling Cancer or some other major health problem even if they have good health insurance.
