Jerry Brown, a linebacker on the Dallas Cowboys practice squad, died early this morning in a single- car accident -- and his teammate, Josh Brent, was arrested on charges of intoxication manslaughter.

Hey Bob Costas, if Josh Brent didn't have a car, Jerry brown would be alive. Right?

I figured Costas would want tougher DUI laws.

The problem is this whole car culture.
The AAA is the new KKK.

Yeah Costa, lets get rid of all cars, and booze. We'll go back to horse and buggies, just think of all the jobs that would create, cleaning up Horse $HIT.

I think it may be time for some stiffer 'Car Control'.

Of course this will never receive the political attention of firearms incidents, but should serve to highlight the absurdity of such arguments for the elimination of rights as a means to provide some sort of protection.

Run the numbers, cars are far more dangerous than firearms.

Any argument that ignores the actions people take will only give rise to the next "evil" device that is used in the death or injury of others. And nothing will change, but we will be left with less choices in our lives.

Costas and his ilk show themselves as the thinly veiled haters of guns - and thus freedom - that they are. The social elites that have determined for themselves it is their divine duty to tell the rest of us what freedoms we should enjoy with their blessing.
